Experience
2+ years teaching and tutoring children aged 10-16 in English language. 1+ year tutoring Chemistry, Biology and Physics for British curriculum school students. GCSEs and Alevel. 1+ year teaching assistant for undergraduate anthropology and biological anthropology students. Many of my students have come from all over the world so I’m very familiar with tutoring people from different backgrounds. Prior to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was set to be teaching English full time in Vietnam. However, as the world closed their borders I’m still unable to reach my final destination. Thus while I wait for the borders to reopen, I would like to contribute my knowledge and skills to helping those students that want to improve their own understanding of their chosen subject. Personally, I find teaching to be a mutually positive and incredibly rewarding career. A teacher can learn just as much from the student as the student can from the teacher, which also makes this career a perpetually exciting experience. I have research experience from conducting my masters thesis in University College London’s evolutionary genetics department. The title of my thesis is “Analysis of Genetic Variants associated with complex diseases and traits between Humans, Neanderthals and Denisovans.”. I also have experience using R studio programming language.

My dream is to work and travel, which is partly why I have gotten into teaching as it is flexible and geographically variable. I have lived and worked in Australia, UK, Middle East and China and hope to expand this to more countries over the course of my adult life. Im a mellow individual and typically well organized in both personal and professional life. My motto is work hard, play hard. I love watching sports, particularly rugby, F1 and UFC. My main interests are reading, cooking, exploring new places, yoga and trying new food and drinks.
